Instant Fun with Fuji FP 3000B
New project for me: shooting instant photos with my Mamiya 645 Pro fitted with a Polaroid back and Fuji FP-3000B, a high speed black and white instant film.
Playing with this stuff is super fun! Having full control over the shutter speed, aperture and focus of my camera is much more satisfying than snapping away on my Polaroid SX-70 or Fuji Instax. Plus, I love that I get instant results with both a negative and a print. I can give the print away and then scan and tinker with the negative. And they look old-school cool.

There are only a couple of downsides. First, the grain is a little too heavy. Second, the negative is only 6 x 4.5 and does not take advantage of the full film size, so I have to crop it down when scanning.

I have a pack of Fuji FP-100C film to play with the weekend and I’m excited to see how the photos look with color and less grain.
