Here are some more photos I shot at my friend Wanda’s wedding last month. As a bridesmaid, it was hard to juggle my Rolleiflex with my bouquet and super high heels, especially since I’m fairly new to the Rollei. As a result, I made only one roll and some of the photos are more haphazard than I would prefer.
But I love the colors here with the Kodak Portra 800 film. Zero fussing around with photoshop trying to make colors “pop.” I love film so much.

I was inspired to look back at these after spending time drooling over the wedding film photography of Jonathan Canlas. Gorgeous.
These were the first wedding photographs I’ve ever taken. I’d love to do more someday.
My B&W photos from the wedding are here.

A beautiful spot where we sat on a park bench and enjoyed fresh macarons from Pierre Herme.

1. Film is cool. Seriously. The scientific process of capturing an image on film, developing and then printing it on paper is one of the most awesome thing you can ever see. It’s like magic.
2. Film produces a tangible result. In the modern world, technology has allowed us to do everything…

My dear friends’ wedding shower last weekend.

Last summer, pre-film and pre-photoblog, I took their engagement portraits. That was the first time I ever did anything like that, and you can see some of them here.
I’m really looking forward to their wedding, which will be another of my photo-bridesmaid projects.
