Phoebe’s Cupcakes

Very sadly, this Chicago cupcake shop is now closed. I’ll always have the memories.

Yes, I do live in Chicago! I have a mini Chicago guide on my bicycling blog, although I have not updated the guide in a couple of years.
My quickest advice for a first time visitor is to visit the Art Institute and Millennium Park, catch improv at Second City, take the architectural boat tour on the river, see a show at the Goodman Theatre or a ballet at Auditorium Theatre, and have a big dinner with vodka flights at Russian Tea Time. Wicker Park is a good place for vintage shopping and well-made cocktails. For live music any night of the week, check out Empty Bottle, the Hideout, Schubas or Beat Kitchen. Oh and traditional Chicago food: Giordano’s for pizza, Kuma’s Kitchen for burgers, Hot Doug’s for hot dogs.
